What parents say
am 1000% satisfied with my choice of working with “A birth at home”! I was going to give birth at a birthing center in Havasu but I felt my provider didn’t really want to work with me. With limited options in town I am just so thrilled that I found Nicole and Marilyn and Destiny. They really are the best of the best.
Hands down the most magical birth experience I could have had. Marylin and Nicole made me feel at ease, supported & more than capable. I feel so empowered from my birth! Marylin made me feel calm & I fully trusted her experience and knowledge.
I had my first daughter in a hospital in 2020 and it was a very traumatic birth for both baby and I (and my husband too if we're being honest). I knew I never wanted to do that again and started looking into homebirth for our second.
Let me start by saying having a home birth was absolutely the best experience! When I got pregnant with my second I knew I did not want to go to the hospital again (even though my first birth went great). I knew I wanted a physiological birth. I trust my body and wanted a provider who did too.
Frequently asked questions
- Is A Birth At Home a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as pregnancy care center and service establishment, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does A Birth At Home offer water birth?
- Water birth or birthing tubs come up in their public listing or reviews. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does A Birth At Home accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- Where does A Birth At Home work?
- They're a service-area practice based in Somerton, Arizona — rather than a single facility address, they serve families across the area. Ask whether your location falls inside their coverage when you inquire.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call +1 928-846-2742 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
