Where to find A Birth Center
What parents say
The best place to go if you want a natural birth, the mid wifes Shannon and Sandy are remarkable, they deliverd my 9.9 lbs 21.5" son and successfully handled all complications during birth, and yes there are complications during some births. Dr. D respects your wishes and will do anything to make sure they come true.
Colleen and her team are exceptional and I would trust them with my life (which I literally did). I delivered my baby at the birth center and it was tough but full of love and care.
Frequently asked questions
- Is A Birth Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- A Birth Center is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask A Birth Center about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does A Birth Center offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for A Birth Center. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does A Birth Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (954) 456-4682. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
