Where to find A Mother’s Village Birth Center of Ocala
What parents say
I was seeing an OB with my last pregnancy but he was pushing induction and wouldn’t let me decline. He said they don’t allow women to go past 41 weeks. I also presented my birth plan to him which he shut down my requests to push in a position that worked for me.
Merrell has truly become family to us. From the moment we moved to Ocala, I searched high and low for a midwife who I knew in my soul would be right for us. The second Merrell took our call, I knew she was the one. She has honored our laundry list of wishes during pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
Midwife Merrell and birth assistant Pam are quite the team! I delivered my first with them last May. My little guy inhaled meconium on the way out and they worked tirelessly to keep him stable until the ambulance arrived. We did not expect them to follow us to the hospital, but they both came!
Absolutely love Merrell, and any of her students/ help I have met! I got with Merrell around 28 weeks pregnant, due to life circumstances I was unable to get prenatal care prior. She took me on as her patient and has been nothing but amazing! The cost/documents were made perfectly clear, and I’m due anytime now!
