What parents say
Being a seasoned mom on my fourth pregnancy, I prepared for my first home birth. One day before reaching 36 weeks, I received a call informing me that my current midwife would no longer be able to continue my care. In that moment of anxiety, I knew all I could do was trust the Lord.
My wife and I had an amazing experience with Jennifer! From start to finish, her communication was exceptional. She was honest and transparent throughout the entire process, which made us feel both comfortable and confident in her expertise.
Jennifer was an excellent midwife for my family. She took the time to teach us what was happening in my body and with our baby. She learned my history and applied that knowledge to her care of me. She was easy to communicate with both in person and through the phone. During the labor she was calm and confident.
I loved my experience with Jennifer. She educated me through the entire pregnancy and had great advice to get through probably my toughest pregnancy so far. She made me feel heard every step of the way. I had two hospital births before this and it was just a miserable experience.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Abundant Grace Birth & Wellness a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife and service establishment, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Abundant Grace Birth & Wellness offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Abundant Grace Birth & Wellness accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- Where does Abundant Grace Birth & Wellness work?
- They're a service-area practice based in Kennedale, Texas — rather than a single facility address, they serve families across the area. Ask whether your location falls inside their coverage when you inquire.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (972) 977-1582 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
