I am really impressed with my experience with birth center and advent health shawnee ks hospital. My c section went smoothly. The doctors and nurses were very helpful, attentive, and cared about my experience. My stay at the hospital was very enjoyable and the food is decent from the cafeteria.
This is a very real and raw review from a father's perspective. So like most men, I work 40+ hours a week, I didn't have all the time in the world to read 50 books and take every baby class they had to offer (I'm sure they're great) so I walked into having a newborn kinda blind and learning as we were here.
My wife and I headed to the birth center last Friday for a scheduled induction. Unfortunately complications arose immediately and we had to be rushed into an unplanned C-Section. It was quite scary but the staff was very supportive and guided us through the process.
Cannot imagine a better place to give birth. The nurses here are absolutely incredible. My husband and I felt so taken care of from the time we were admitted to the time we were discharged with a healthy baby boy. The facilities are also very beautiful and functional.
