What this center offers
“I’ll admit, I was worried that a homebirth midwife might be a bit too “woo woo”/hippyish, but the team here is professional, grounded, warm, and exceptionally skilled.”

What parents say
If you're looking for a midwife, look no further!!!! From the moment we met Brittany, she made us feel so safe, secure, heard, seen and felt, especially as first time parents. Throughout the entire pregnancy she was so helpful, always having a plethora of suggestions, tips, and answers for all the questions we had.
I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible support I received from the team at Aglow Midwifery. Thanks to Brittany and Michelle, I was able to have the home birth I had always hoped for.
Brittany has been an amazing care provider throughout the entire process, from prenatal care to delivery to post-partum care. She is full of knowledge and resources, yet is not pushy about it, but rather is supportive of the mother's & family's wishes.
We were referred to A Glow Midwifery by a friend. As a therapist, i knew that I wanted a comprehensive model of care for birth that was strong on education and normalizing of the birth experiences. I also knew that 10-15 minute prenatals with my other practice wasn’t going to be enough for me.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Aglow Midwifery a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife and service establishment, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Aglow Midwifery offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Aglow Midwifery. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Aglow Midwifery accept insurance or Medicaid?
- Their public listing or website mentions insurance or Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so verify your specific plan directly with the facility and your insurer before you commit.
- Where does Aglow Midwifery work?
- They're a service-area practice based in Frederick, Maryland — rather than a single facility address, they serve families across the area. Ask whether your location falls inside their coverage when you inquire.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (443) 280-3177 or use the website link above, or schedule a tour directly with the button above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
