Where to find Ascension Providence Hospital Alternative Birthing Center
What parents say
I gave birth to my first baby at the ABC in February of 2021. I was looking for an experience where my wishes would be met and not challenged. When I found the ABC, they supported everything I wanted, didn’t push anything on me, and always made sure they had consent before moving forward.
The care I received at the ABC was unmatched. The rooms are spacious and accommodating to your needs/wants. I was able to labor on my own terms in a safe setting with people I love and some of the friendliest nurses. I felt freedom in laboring exactly how I wanted.
I cannot fully express how amazing my experience was with the ABC. First off, the nurses are absolutely AMAZING. They were so hands on during my labor and did everything possible to be there for me and help with my pain. The midwives are also hands on and I’m so glad I chose them.
The Alternative Birth Care Center at Ascension Providence is a hidden gem! The Midwives, Nurses, and Staff are so encouraging, knowledgeable, and supportive going above and beyond. If you are seeking autonomy, safety, respect, team work, and providers who trust in the birthing process, this is it.
