What parents say
We knew we made the right decision with Becca and Kate from the first meeting. All the emails and resources shared while we were pregnant was so helpful during a stressful time.
Becca and Kate are the best! They are smart, supportive, thoughtful and deeply respectful of clients' needs, desires and preferences. Becca attended my birth and I couldn't have done it without her expert encouragement and advocacy! We also used her placenta services.
Kate was responsive, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. She replied quickly to my late-night appointment request and saw me the very next day. At a time when I felt ready to stop breastfeeding, she provided the education and reassurance I needed to continue.
We had an incredible experience working with Becca, Kate, and the team at AthensBorn. Becca was our doula and Kate was our lactation consultant for our first child, and they made us feel so supported, informed, and prepared in those crazy early days of parenthood.
Frequently asked questions
- Is AthensBorn Birth Services a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as doula and childbirth class, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does AthensBorn Birth Services offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for AthensBorn Birth Services. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does AthensBorn Birth Services accept insurance or Medicaid?
- Their public listing or website mentions insurance or Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so verify your specific plan directly with the facility and your insurer before you commit.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (706) 223-0808 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
