Where to find Birth & Women's Health Center
What parents say
I wasn't able to deliver there due to needing a c-section but the care I received at my appointments was wonderful!
We are so happy we chose to have our baby here. This was our first baby and we wanted somewhere we would be comfortable and not pushed for medical interventions. Angel was outstanding throughout pregnancy all the way until birth. Her calm tone and positivity made this experience so memorable and truly amazing for us.
We recently had our second delivery at the birth center and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Every member of the staff is meant to do the work they do, supporting you through every step of pregnancy and postpartum. There’s nothing I would change about this facility or the amazing people who work there.
Most incredible natural birth experience I could have imagined. The midwives were so kind and in tune with my needs and guided me through a safe and healthy delivery! Highly recommend!
Frequently asked questions
- Is Birth & Women's Health Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Birth & Women's Health Center is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Birth & Women's Health Center about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Birth & Women's Health Center offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Birth & Women's Health Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- Their public listing or website mentions insurance or Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so verify your specific plan directly with the facility and your insurer before you commit.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (620) 465-2712 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
