What parents say
I had the best labor and delivery I could have asked for here. Amber, thank you for supporting my autonomy and giving me the tools I needed for unmediated labor. Carolyn, thank you for a calming environment when I first came to the hospital to deliver my son…it’s exactly what I wanted.
I gave birth with my first at Shea Medical Honor Health in Scottsdale - one of the top birthing hospitals in the country. It was a wonderful experience, but Bitterroot Health blew them out of the water! Nurses were kind and supportive, and they brought meals to us unprompted.
I had my first baby just a few days ago, and I wanted to say thank you to Michele Y, Dr Metcalf, Kaylee, Kimi, Katie, Melanie and Heidi B for being such a great support team and coaching me through my birth and helping guide me and my baby after! You guys truly made my birthing process great! Thank you!
Truly one of the best birth experiences that you can ask for. Have had both my children here, and both times were amazing. The nurses are all excellent, and both Dr Kimmel and Camden were great.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Bitterroot Health - Birthing Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?

- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (406) 375-4470 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
