What parents say
We had Jenn as one of our midwives, she was so great through all of our appointments and at the birth! Our sweet boy was early and quite the surprise! But she made it on time to help deliver and talk me through the last few contractions. It was also so wonderful having her there for awhile after the birth for support.
Jenn was one of the midwives that supported my family before, during, and after the birth of my daughter. From our first interaction, Jenn was a source of evidence-based information and support.
Jenn was one of my midwives for my home birth in September 2020. Jenn and I had talked a lot in my prenatal visits about ways to ensure that I would not tear during delivery because I had been unsuccessful in my two previous hospital births.
Jenn was our midwife when our fifth baby was born. She was a calm presence throughout all of our prenatal visits, always answering all of our questions and even including our other children in the visits. When it came to the birth, Jenn made me feel so comfortable (well as comfortable as someone in labor can be).
Frequently asked questions
- Is Bloom Midwifery a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife and service establishment, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Bloom Midwifery offer water birth?
- Water birth or birthing tubs come up in their public listing or reviews. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Bloom Midwifery accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- Where does Bloom Midwifery work?
- They're a service-area practice based in Georgetown, Michigan — rather than a single facility address, they serve families across the area. Ask whether your location falls inside their coverage when you inquire.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call +1 616-262-7077 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
