Where to find Brooklyn Birthing Center
What parents say
I signed up to give birth at The Brooklyn Birthing Center back in January. They give you a very informative and extensive orientation after you've passed the screening process to see if you qualify to give birth there. They also give you a great dress rehearsal as well shortly before you give birth.
I went to BBC for my prenatal care and delivery for my first child, and I am thrilled with the whole experience. I saw midwife Margaret Cole for the vast majority of my prenatal appointments, she always took the time to answer all of my questions and appointments never felt rushed.
Customer service was great. I had a successful non medicated birth. There was no other patients giving birth at the time, so I had the entire floor to myself. The staff was very supportive, patient and kind. I arrived around 12noon and was 4cm dilated, by 9pm gave birth to my beautiful baby girl.
I delivered at the BBC in early January and could not have been happier with the midwives and the center. I knew I did not want a traditional hospital birth, but I was very nervous about trying a home birth. The birthing center was a perfect fit between the two.

- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (718) 336-4119 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
