Where to find Cincinnati Birth Center
What parents say
The entire experience with Meghan and her team has been absolutely amazing! There is no way I would have been able to labor for so many days without her support. As a first time mom, I felt heard at all of my appointments, prenatal and postpartum.
We welcomed Wesley during a thunderstorm at 4:00 am on April 8. It was an intense 5-hour labor. We were surrounded by our incredible team of midwives from the Cincinnati Birth Center, our doula, and my mom.
Meghan and the birth team at Cincinnati Birth Center blessed me with an experience I will forever treasure. The birth of my second child was everything I could have ever hoped for. After a hospital birth with my first son that left me feeling unsatisfied, I knew that I wanted a home birth with our next child.
I had both of my births with the CBC and really appreciated the in-depth care I received. Meghan is extremely knowledgeable and knowing her experience, policies, and quick eye for any issues, I’d trust myself and my babies with her any day. Prenatals are very thorough and I felt completely cared for!
Frequently asked questions
- Is Cincinnati Birth Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Cincinnati Birth Center is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Cincinnati Birth Center about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Cincinnati Birth Center offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Cincinnati Birth Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (513) 399-7263 or use the website link above, or schedule a tour directly with the button above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
