What this center offers
“Here to say by law in the State of Oklahoma, midwives/CPMs/birth centers are required to transfer care to a hospital if a pregnancy (even low-risk and healthy) goes past 41+3 days.”
“I would recommend CMS to any friend or family member interested in holistic, evidence-based, and professional prenatal care, unmedicated birth and postpartum care.”
“I was planning on having a water birth at the birth center, but my water broke and I didn't go into labor, so I had to be transferred to OU Children's.”

“She truly fought for us at the hospital and I felt so deeply loved and seen by her - especially since we only prepared for a home birth.”
“I also wouldn't have been able to breastfeed my son without their help, because he had a tongue tie that the pediatrician we used to see didn't catch.”

What parents say
I have used CMS with two of my pregnancies. The first ended sadly at 24 weeks, but the care and support I received from Michelle and her staff throughout that experience was invalauable. My second pregnancy and birth turned out healthy and smooth in the capable hands of the midwives at CMS.
My husband and I had our first baby September of 2021 at CMS using one of their birth rooms. They took care of my baby and I from 8 weeks pregnant to 6 weeks postpartum. I love the community model they have set up where you see and get to know each midwife.
I would recommend CMS to any friend or family member interested in holistic, evidence-based, and professional prenatal care, unmedicated birth and postpartum care. I truly felt loved the moment I walked in the door of this establishment!
I could not have loved my experience at Community Midwifery Services more. Every single one of these ladies is kind, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. They each bring something special to the group as well that they use to help each other make your care even better.
