What parents say
If you’re a first time parent looking for someone who will not only support you but truly care for your baby and your family, look no further than Valerie! She was an absolute godsend during the first 3.5 months of our postpartum journey, and I honestly don’t know how we would have made it through without her.
Valerie is an incredible Doula and any family would be lucky to work with her. She worked with my family for about 3.5 months as a night doula, from my daughter's first night at home. This was my third baby but first time with a night doula and I just can't say enough.
Words can't truly capture how grateful I am for Valerie and all of her support. My husband and I are first time parents and wanted to make sure we had a great pregnancy and labor experience to start our journey into parenthood. From the moment we had our first call with Valerie we knew she was a perfect fit for us.
I started my search for a doula towards the end of my second trimester and since I wanted an unmedicated birth, I realized it was important for me to get support through the birth process. I was also taking Hypnobirthing classes and wanted a doula with Hypnobirthing experience.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Duolovedoula a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Duolovedoula is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Duolovedoula about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Duolovedoula offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Duolovedoula. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Duolovedoula accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- Where does Duolovedoula work?
- They're a service-area practice based in Norwalk, California — rather than a single facility address, they serve families across the area. Ask whether your location falls inside their coverage when you inquire.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (562) 414-4916 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
