Funny enough, I didn't hire Elaine because she was going to be on vacation during my due date BUT she ended up working alongside the midwife I hired! So I got to be partially in Elaine's care for my entire pregnancy and since I went past my due date, did have her support pp!
Elaine was absolutely amazing at supporting us through our first birth (during a pandemic no less)! She was so knowledgable, and was such a wonderful, trusted source of information throughout my pregnancy and in the weeks after birth.
I knew I wanted a home birth for my first pregnancy and birth. In assembling my birth team, it was very important to me to find a Doula and midwives who made me feel, not just physically safe, but also emotionally safe. From our first interview to our last postpartum visit she was everything I needed her to be.
