Where Exhale Birth Services works
What parents say
Shannon is an amazing provider! She truly cares about women and their desired outcomes. Shannon was the midwife who provided care throughout my third pregnancy and the delivery last year. I can honestly say, it was the best prenatal care I have received. Shannon was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled.
There is something truly special about being under the are of Shannon and anyone she works with. My husband and I took our birth education course from Shannon 4 years ago, and she attended the birth of my first son as the assistant midwife to our primary provider.
Shannon is incredibly knowledgeable and caring and made our birth experience bringing our 5th (our 3rd VBA2C) earthside stress-free! It can be difficult to find a provider who believes in your body's ability to birth naturally after a cesarean, but Shannon and her caring team did just that.
It’s taken me too long to write this review, but I suppose I can blame the beautiful chaos of being a brand new, first-time mom for that. I cannot begin to express my gratitude and admiration for Shannon, and for Exhale. My story started when I was 33 weeks pregnant with my baby girl.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Exhale Birth Services a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife and service establishment, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.

- Does Exhale Birth Services accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
