Where to find Experience Birth & Beyond
What parents say
Coleen knows what she’s doing!! I cannot rave enough about her. I wish I would've known about Coleen for my 2 previous breast feeding journeys but I'm glad she was around for this one! Coleen showed up on one of those “I can’t go another day of breastfeeding” kind of days.
There are not enough words to describe how AMAZING Coleen Salazar is(but I'll try ) Being a first time mom I had many fears of how to do many things when and after I gave birth. Having her by my side throughout my pregnancy, my postpartum, and my breastfeeding journey has helped more than I could say.
I am so grateful to have had Coleen as part of my birth team. She was absolutely essential to my successful VBAC. From the very beginning, she brought a calm, supportive presence that helped me feel safe, respected, and empowered throughout my 26-hour labor.
If you were looking for an attentive and knowledgeable midwife, look no further! Thanks to Coleen, my husband and I had the beautiful homebirth we envisioned for our second baby. Coleen came to my home for all my appointments, which was so convenient because I also am mom to a busy two year old.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Experience Birth & Beyond a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Experience Birth & Beyond offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Experience Birth & Beyond accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (559) 697-5721 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
