Where to find Family Birth Center
What parents say
I had a really long labor, so I met a lot of nurses during my stay. Everyone was so kind, so attentive, so considerate, it almost overwhelms me as a new mom thinking about the positive experience my family got to have delivering our first baby there.
We had our first baby at Lima Memorial L&D and the nurses were all amazing. They were attentive, kind, and very knowledgeable about what was happening. We couldn't have asked for a better care staff to welcome our baby boy into this world and would highly recommend this facility to anyone.
I would recommend Lima memorial labor and delivery to any mom/new mom! All of the staff has been so wonderful, attentive to needs, and informative. I had to have a c section 3 weeks early and the whole surgery staff was absolutely amazing! They talked me through the whole thing and calmed my anxiety down.
I would highly recommend the Family Birth Center. The staff were so caring and supportive. They took time to explain everything and made sure I felt comfortable. Nurse Midwife Emily T. even stayed over on her shift to help deliver my baby.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Family Birth Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Family Birth Center is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Family Birth Center about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Family Birth Center offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Family Birth Center. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Family Birth Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- Their public listing or website mentions insurance or Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so verify your specific plan directly with the facility and your insurer before you commit.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call +1 419-998-4570 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
