Where to find Family Birthing Center
What parents say
They have been so wonderful here. Every individual who has helped us with our delivery and aftercare has gone above and beyond their jobs. We had wanted to avoid a hospital birth, but due to complications had to be admitted last minute. They made me feel so at ease and comfortable with the hospital environment.
We had planned to do a home birth but do to unforseen circumstances my water broke at 34w4 days. The staff was very welcoming and very comforting. I was extremely uneasy as hospital aren't my favorite place to be.
Because of various issues I had experienced at other Trios locations, I was very skeptical about delivering here. However, I am VERY happy with my experience here. I had a planned c-section & was nervous about. All of the nurses that took care of me were very caring & did what they could to make sure I was comfortable.
I was induced here recently and had the birth I dreamed of. The nurses were so caring and went above and beyond to make it a beautiful experience. Every single nurse was amazing! And they took good care of my spouse as well.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Family Birthing Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Family Birthing Center is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Family Birthing Center about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Family Birthing Center offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Family Birthing Center. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Family Birthing Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (509) 586-5805. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
