What parents say
Katie was my doula for a hospital birth with a midwife. I was able to deliver my little boy completely naturally without any medication. Having Katie there was such a relief! I was laboring at home, and my contractions were so intense I was bent over my bed, unable to move.
Katie was an incredible doula and I’ll shout it from every rooftop!! Initially I was very nervous about inviting someone I didn’t know into our birth space but I really resonated with her from her Instagram content, posts, and stories. I appreciated her deep insights and powerful messages.
Katie was my doula for my birth in July. My husband was deployed during that time so her role was a little more than “just a doula”. She totally stepped up to the plate! She was there for me every step of the way before, during, and after my birth.
I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for Katie! She knew exactly what to do and say to support me AND my husband during labor. Katie was a huge component of why I was successful at having an unmedicated birth. I really couldn’t have done it without her. Everyone should have Katie in their corner!!
Frequently asked questions
- Is Freya Birth a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Freya Birth is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Freya Birth about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Freya Birth offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Freya Birth accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- Where does Freya Birth work?
- They're a service-area practice based in Orem, Utah — rather than a single facility address, they serve families across the area. Ask whether your location falls inside their coverage when you inquire.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (385) 245-2416 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
