It's hard to put into words how awesome these ladies are! Jaymee and Lourdes took their time answering all questions and worries that being a first time momma has/had and I so appreciated that. I never felt rushed through appointments which was also refreshing.
Lordes and Jaymee are amazing! I felt listened to during all of my appointments and if I ever had questions, they responded very quickly to my calls. The birth at the birth center was perfect. They were extremely reassuring during labor and gave me direction when I needed it. I would definitely deliver with them again
Lourdes made the process seamless to order and receive my placenta pills and tincture. I was most impressed with her professionalism and sweet demeanor. It was a home run upon realizing that she is the only provider In the Houston area that prepares the placenta in a separate room specifically designed for the process.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Galveston Birth Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?

Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Galveston Birth Center about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Galveston Birth Center offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Galveston Birth Center. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Galveston Birth Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (409) 768-0005 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
