What parents say
I began seeing Katrina because I wanted to truly know and trust the person who would be supporting me through bringing my baby into the world. My original goal was a home birth, and from the very beginning, Katrina made it incredibly easy to trust her. She is caring, kind, and endlessly patient.
Katrina was a huge blessing this pregnancy. I hope everyone can work with this amazing midwife. From the moment I called Katrina inquiring about her services she responded with an awesome combination of kindness, professionalism, and eagerness to help.
I could not be happier, the care is excellent! Wish i could give her 10 stars! We are so lucky to have her here in SLO county. I transferred care from a (highly rated award winning) local obgyn because i couldn't get my questions answered and i wish i had done it sooner.
I don’t even know where to begin because the level of care exceeded all of my expectations. We transferred care halfway through pregnancy to midwife, Katrina Bolduc after feeling called to experience birth differently than my last two pregnancies.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Gea Midwifery a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Gea Midwifery is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Gea Midwifery about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Gea Midwifery offer water birth?
- Water birth or birthing tubs come up in their public listing or reviews. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Gea Midwifery accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (805) 748-2939 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
