“I'm preparing to have my first home birth with our third child and I couldn't recommend Cindi and the rest of her team at GBO enough!”
“I also really appreciated the childcare and breastfeeding education before and after birth, and I still keep in touch with the GBO community.”

What parents say
I transferred from Ladies First (Baptist) at 28 weeks when I was pregnant with my first in 2017 because I did not feel like they were caring for me, only for my baby and I was I just a vessel.
My wife Sonia and I decided to go with Gentle Birth Options after looking at several places. We are so pleased with our decision! Cindi and the rest of the GBO staff quickly became like family. They all took the time to really get to know us. They trained us and poured into us.
Cindi took great care of our family when we were under her care for the birth of my first child in 2017. We were very happy with the education we received with the birth classes she provided and our care was fantastic.
Currently 4 months post partum with my second Gentle Birth Options and First Homebirth baby. And looking back on the whole experience I can only say, I can't wait to do it again! I never thought I'd be one to birth out of hospital, let alone twice and the second time at home!
Frequently asked questions
- Is Gentle Birth Options, LLC a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as medical clinic and midwife, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Gentle Birth Options, LLC offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Gentle Birth Options, LLC accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- Where does Gentle Birth Options, LLC work?
- They're a service-area practice based in Destin, Florida — rather than a single facility address, they serve families across the area. Ask whether your location falls inside their coverage when you inquire.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (850) 499-2882 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
