What parents say
I couldn’t have found Gifted Hands at a better time. I was struggling with finding an OB who would accept me based on my due date and kept getting rejected. I had an OB but was extremely unhappy with the care and was honestly getting discouraged. I found Gifted Hands Midwifery on a Saturday night.
I have given birth four times, each in a different setting. My first birth was in a hospital under the care of an OB-GYN and was extremely traumatic. My second birth, also in a hospital, was under midwifery care and was a significant improvement, but still constrained by the limitations of the hospital environment.
I delivered my first daughter at a hospital and it was a traumatic delivery where my voice was not heard and more interventions took place than I was comfortable with. I chose homebirth this time around and found Kay and Gifted Hands Midwifery via Facebook group recommendations.
It’s so much I can say about this phenomenal woman! After a csection and multiple Doctors telling me I’ll never be able to push again, Ms. Kay made it happen! She made sure I was healthy and ate right! She birthed my last 2 babies and I wouldn’t go to anybody else because I trusted her completely.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Gifted Hands Midwifery a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife and service establishment, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Gifted Hands Midwifery offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Gifted Hands Midwifery accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- Where does Gifted Hands Midwifery work?
- They're a service-area practice based in Norcross, Georgia — rather than a single facility address, they serve families across the area. Ask whether your location falls inside their coverage when you inquire.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call +1 470-504-3856 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
