Where to find Guiding Hands Midwifery
What parents say
I was recomended Guiding Hands Midwifery by two people. Lydia and Jenda are amazing. Lydia has been an amazing midwife and made my vbac an amazing experience. Jessica, the nurse is also amazing, and i feel like we have became friends over time. Lydia and Dr. Whitcomb are seeing my baby girl as pediatrician.
I was SO blessed to find Jenda, she made everything go as smooth as possible & advocated for my needs and wants in the hospital. My son will be 5 this year, and I still can't thank Jenda enough! I would (& do!) reccomend her to anyone in need of an incredible midwife!!
Lydia is fantastic. From our first appointment, to delivery, and then postpartum care she took fantastic care of me and our nugget. I would highly recommend her to anyone I know.
Lydia was the most wonderful midwife I've had the pleasure of working with. Made the delivery much less stressful for us! Thanks guiding hands!
Frequently asked questions
- Is Guiding Hands Midwifery a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as women's health clinic, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Guiding Hands Midwifery offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Guiding Hands Midwifery. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Guiding Hands Midwifery accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (402) 884-6400. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
