What parents say
My husband and I loved the experience we had with Ashley and the birth center. We knew we wanted to consider home birth and birthing centers because of the positive experiences we had heard from family and friends about their births in birthing centers; and because of poor experiences two of my husband’s sisters had…
We had a great experience working with HCBW! This was our first child/my first pregnancy. My prenatal care was excellent. I always felt very comfortable asking lots of questions and making informed decisions regarding our care.
Saying this place is amazing would be an understatement. From the very beginning everyone was kind and welcoming. I never once left a visit or appointment with a bad or negative feeling. Every question or concern I had was taken seriously and explained thoroughly.
Ashley and her team are incredible to work with! After being treated like just “a number” at the OBs, it was really refreshing to be treated like family by everyone here. At each appointment we were treated with the greatest care.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Haven Birth & Wellness a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Haven Birth & Wellness is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Haven Birth & Wellness about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Haven Birth & Wellness offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Haven Birth & Wellness accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (512) 686-6262 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
