Where to find Hillside Midwifery
What parents say
Where to begin! ❤️ I came to Katie newly expecting my 8th baby. I had 6 home births prior in a different state, and my experience with Hillside was by far my most special. I had pretty severe, long last morning sickness, and I received natural remedy suggestions, and also had access to pharmaceutical options with them.
Katie is beautiful. My experience was beautiful. Our appointments and time together were beautiful. Loved sharing our pregnancy with Katie. The labor was perfection as Katie came immediately, came in and gave me everything I needed, encouraged me, gave me quiet exactly when needed, gave me support how I needed it and…
I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible care I received from Katie and Tawnya at Hillside Midwifery throughout my pregnancy, during my home birth, and the following weeks. After experiencing a hospital birth filled with complications, I wanted to try something different.
How do I even rate these amazing women... They truly deserve a 1000/10 rating!! Katie and Tawyna are two absolutely AMAZING and empowering women. Katie is and was so attentive during pregnancy and listened to every detail and concern.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Hillside Midwifery a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Hillside Midwifery is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Hillside Midwifery about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Hillside Midwifery offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Hillside Midwifery accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (208) 742-4784 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
