What parents say
We had a wonderful experience with Brandi and April. At our appointments they took lots of time to answer all of our questions, and when there were several options for a problem they explained them and provided advice but ultimately respected whatever decision we made.
My family and I had a wonderful experience with Home4Birth. Brandi and Mindy assisted with the birth of both our sons in June 2014 and December 2015. Despite the ups and downs of pregnancy and birth preparations, both Brandi and Mindy were incredibly helpful, patient, and kind throughout the entire process.
Home4Birth staff is amazing! I was a little nervous about giving birth at home, but I felt in my heart that being in a hospital was not in my, nor my baby's best interest. Brandi was able to ease my fears considerably in just the first meeting.
I recommend Home4Birth to EVERYONE. If you're looking for quality care Brandi and her staff are it! They are knowledgable on anything you can think of. I've learned so much about myself and caring for my children from them. The hour's appointment is so very helpful and let's you know that they care.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Home4Birth Midwifery Services a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife and alternative medicine practitioner, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Home4Birth Midwifery Services offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Home4Birth Midwifery Services accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (765) 643-9433 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
