What parents say
I gave a 5 star rating only because Google won’t let me give 6. Melissa Nealy is the most unbelievably awesome midwife, possibly ever. While I’m sure that all the midwives at KBT are super legit, she gets my wife’s and my vote as the best!!!! Shani was an amazing help at the birth of our son, as was Margo.
Melissa Nealy is a powerful woman ! I am grateful eternally for crossing paths with her . She brought forth what was already within me but gave me the safe space and guidance for me to have the confidence in trusting myself and listening to my body . I hope other mommas have the beautiful birth experience like I did .
We love KBC!! I have delivered both of our babies at home with Natalie and they were both phenomenal experiences. The care you receive from these midwives is top notch. They are highly knowledgeable and experienced. We plan to use Katy Birth Center for any future pregnancies!
I gave birth in June 2024 - my son just turned a year old and all I can say to KBC is THANK YOU. We were on such in equal footing while I was pregnant. Our finances were a mess- they sent us reminders but never pushed. They offered us their confidence that we would be able to pay everything in time.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Katy Birth Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as pregnancy care center, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Katy Birth Center offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Katy Birth Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call +1 832-437-5876 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
