Where to find Katy Birth Center
What parents say
We LOVE the Katy Birthcenter and its incredible staff. KBC helped us deliver our first baby at home in December 2023. Nolana Jalowy and Sue Potts were our midwives. They gave us superb personal care throughout pregnancy and labor.
I had my dream pregnancy and delivery because of Katy Birth Center. Sue was my midwife and she was so caring throughout the entire journey. The entire staff is amazing and I felt very taken care of. The birth center itself felt “homey” and I was always so comfortable there during all of my appointments.
I had the most amazing experience here and can’t emphasise enough how fantastic ALL the staff are, especially Sue who was my midwife. They took such incredible care of me throughout my whole pregnancy and I felt so supported. Now pregnant with no.
I gave a 5 star rating only because Google won’t let me give 6. Melissa Nealy is the most unbelievably awesome midwife, possibly ever. While I’m sure that all the midwives at KBT are super legit, she gets my wife’s and my vote as the best!!!! Shani was an amazing help at the birth of our son, as was Margo.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Katy Birth Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as pregnancy care center, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Katy Birth Center offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Katy Birth Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call +1 832-437-5876 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
