What parents say
Alecia’s support during labor was invaluable. She helped guide me through every contraction with breathing techniques, different positions and encouraging words. Having her at my side made all the difference in my birth. She advocated for me and reminded me of my strength to endure the challenges of giving birth.
My experience with LCB, and specifically Alecia, was incredible. As a birth professional myself I came with a unique perspective in that I did not need childbirth education but knew the evidence that supported the role of doulas in reducing complications of birth and increasing satisfaction.
Alecia was fabulous to work with! She will seek to learn what your goals/concerns are for your birth, and then guide you through options and information to help prepare and support you/your support person through your pregnancy, birth and early postpartum journey.
My husband and I worked with Alecia during my pregnancy and we are so grateful to have had her be a part of our journey. Our original goal in working with a Doula was to have someone that could provide expertise and education on pregnancy and labor and to help us develop a birth plan.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Lake Country Birth a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife and doula, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Lake Country Birth offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Lake Country Birth. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Lake Country Birth accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (262) 232-7821 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
