Where to find Legacy Birth and Wellness Midwifery Services
What parents say
I found Jasmine when I was mid-way through my 1st trimester of my 2nd pregnancy (which begin very early in the pandemic). I had given birth to my 1st child at UCSF but had since moved to the East Bay and was researching prenatal care and birth options closer to home.
A friend of mine recommended Aimée Tom as a midwife. When I made our initial appointment, she let me know she was working with Jasmine, and that I would alternate seeing the two of them. I feel incredibly lucky to have been cared for by these two amazing people.
The best decision I made in preparation for the birth of my baby was asking Jasmine to be with me on our journey and deliver my baby. Having my first baby during a pandemic was intimidating and anxiety provoking, but Jas was there every step of the way.
Having our third child after 7 years, we were looking for a different (more special) experience. This is exactly what we received with our amazing Midwife Jasmine. From the very beginning she was thoughtful and thorough and was more than a doctor but, an advocate for us.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Legacy Birth and Wellness Midwifery Services a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Legacy Birth and Wellness Midwifery Services offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Legacy Birth and Wellness Midwifery Services. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Legacy Birth and Wellness Midwifery Services accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (510) 545-6092 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
