Where to find Mama Moon Midwifery
What parents say
I can not speak highly enough of my experience with Erin. From the initial contact, prenatal appointments, birth and post partum care- I have felt supported and informed the entire time.
For my first child, I had a typical hospital birth. For children 2 and 3, I delivered at a birth center. It was much calmer and more enjoyable than at the hospital but I didn’t like that I had to pack up and head home as few as four hours postpartum. I decided on a homebirth for my fourth child.
A hospital birth was in our plans during our pregnancy. We made the decision to have a home birth with Erin towards the end of the pregnancy and I couldn't be happier with our decision. Erin was understanding and supportive through the entire process.
My husband's and I's experience through Mama Moon Midwifery was amazing. She takes the time to answer your questions to ensure that you make knowledgeable decisions. She is a very skilled midwife, who has your needs in mind. She also makes sure that the father is a part of the process.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Mama Moon Midwifery a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Mama Moon Midwifery offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Mama Moon Midwifery. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Mama Moon Midwifery accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (262) 352-4852 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
