Where Mama Moonlight Birth Services works
What parents say
I had the pleasure of working with Kailyn during my third trimester. I had just moved from another state, and didn't know where to begin as far as putting together my birth team. Kailyn had soo many resources that she happily shared with me, even before I decided on her being my doula.
I originally was unsure if I wanted a doula because I feared having one would take away from my husband’s involvement in the birth process. However, after meeting Kailyn, I immediately loved her and knew she could help alleviate some of the fear I had about giving birth.
Although I only had the pleasure of working with Kailyn for a short period of time towards the end of my pregnancy (because I decided on a doula fairly late in my pregnancy), she was such a dream to work with!
I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to review Kailyn but me and my Partner were beyond pleased with Kailyn as our doula. Kailyn was very informative, resourceful, encouraging and patient. She was so personable from the beginning that I immediately knew upon consultation that she was the right fit for us.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Mama Moonlight Birth Services a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as doula and childbirth class, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Mama Moonlight Birth Services offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Mama Moonlight Birth Services. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Mama Moonlight Birth Services accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- Where does Mama Moonlight Birth Services work?
- They're a service-area practice based in Citrus Heights, California — rather than a single facility address, they serve families across the area. Ask whether your location falls inside their coverage when you inquire.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (501) 749-0383 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
