We recently welcomed our third daughter and chose to have a home birth this time around. Our first birth was in a hospital and our second at a birth center, so my husband and I were really excited for the opportunity to bring our baby into the world at home.
We recently worked with Mid-Valley Birthing Services for our first baby, and we will absolutely be using them again. Throughout my pregnancy they were professional, very knowledgeable, so easy to feel safe with, and reassuring as we ended up having a few extra visits with the MFM in Eugene to check on a couple…
Mid Valley Birthing Services was great to work with throughout my pregnancy. I needed appointments outside of the practice and Liz was always great to send referrals and give direction where needed.
Frequently asked questions
- Is MidValley Birthing Services a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does MidValley Birthing Services offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for MidValley Birthing Services. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does MidValley Birthing Services accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call +1 541-928-1002 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
