Where to find Moxie Birth
What parents say
I love everything about Moxie Birth. Prior to getting pregnant, I received my well-woman care from Sarah & Bente at what was then All Women Care (later Moxie Care) on Vermont, and loved their collaborative approach to care. When I got pregnant, I knew I wanted to continue working with them at the birth center.
This is just a quick review to say that I had an absolutely lovely pregnancy and birthing experience at moxie. The midwives (and Dr. Kaiser!) are all top notch. The beauty of midwifery is the patient centered care. All of the midwives are excellent both clinically and socially.
I genuinely cannot say enough amazing things about the whole Moxie team and experience. I heard about the birth center opening while trying to conceive and I was so excited to get pregnant because I knew I wanted to birth with them. When my wife and I met with Sara and Dr.
Moxie went above and beyond my wildest dreams ushering me into motherhood. I could not have asked for a more compassionate, badass team. I even had a pregnancy complication that put me in the hospital for 8 weeks. I had daily visits from Dr. Kaiser and the rest of the team came weekly to check in on my morale.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Moxie Birth a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Moxie Birth is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Moxie Birth about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Moxie Birth offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Moxie Birth accept insurance or Medicaid?
- Their public listing or website mentions insurance or Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so verify your specific plan directly with the facility and your insurer before you commit.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call +1 626-399-0649 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
