What parents say
Our experience with Rachel was an absolute joy! She has such a nurturing and understanding way about her. At each appointment she always had a smile on her face and would have lots of great information on pregnancy and childbirth. Always prompt to answer my messages when I had concerns. I loved that!
Childbirth was my biggest fear - even above flying and snakes. I couldn’t even get too excited thinking about how great motherhood would be because in my mind, I had to get through the birthing first. But then I met Rachel, and she eased my anxiety so much from just our first meeting.
What a blessing Moxie Midwifery Tyler has been for our family over the past 3 years. Rachel has been through some of the hardest moments of my life and met me with love, compassion and grace.
I highly recommend Rachel as a midwife. I had a wonderful home birth experience with her and felt supported every step of the way. During my first pregnancy, I had cholestasis and was under the care of an OB, so I wasn’t sure a home birth would even be possible the second time.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Moxie Midwifery a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Moxie Midwifery offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Moxie Midwifery. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Moxie Midwifery accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (903) 205-1946 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
