Where to find North Star Midwifery
What parents say
I loved everything about my birthing experience with Aly. I'd previously had two hospital births-one was a vaginal delivery and the other ended as an uninformed c-section. I decided to home birth for our third and found the North Star Midwifery website. As I read through it she ticked all of my boxes and then some.
Our home birth was exactly the experience we were hoping for. We felt safe, comfortable, and unhurried. We trusted Aly completely, having built a relationship with her from the start and knowing she came with many years of experience with birth.
Aly, you are amazing! I am so glad I found Northstar Midwifery for my last two births. After a hospital birth with my first I knew I wanted something different. I truly felt held and supported and heard with Aly. The quality of care is what I wish every pregnant/postpartum person could experience.
Aly supported me during my second journey into motherhood, and I couldn’t be happier. Having the privilege of seeing the same highly skilled midwife for all my visits during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum was instrumental.
Frequently asked questions
- Is North Star Midwifery a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does North Star Midwifery offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does North Star Midwifery accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (651) 764-6933 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
