Where to find Odessa Birth & Wellness
What parents say
I left the hospital setting because my needs and concerns were not being met. To them I was just another number. When I came to the Birthing center and started my care with Misty, I immediately saw how different the care is. Misty took her time to get to know me and my family.
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of utilizing the Odessa Birth and Wellness Center, and we can't express how positive and uplifting our experience was. From the moment we walked through the doors, Misty made us feel welcomed, having a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly put us at ease.
Misty is an amazing midwife if you’re considering her but have no experience in natural birthing she is the person to go to! She was extremely patient with my super long labor and did everything to help me. We worked through the night and she never lost her smile no matter how tired we got.
Misty is an excellent midwife! I knew when I got pregnant I wanted an alternative to a traditional hospital birth. Odessa Birth and Wellness provides more than just that. Misty is quite knowledgeable and does a great job at explaining options and answering questions.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Odessa Birth & Wellness a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Odessa Birth & Wellness is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Odessa Birth & Wellness about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Odessa Birth & Wellness offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Odessa Birth & Wellness accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call +1 432-363-4407 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
