What parents say
My wife and I just delivered twin boys at the Providence Newberg Birthing Center and we were very impressed throughout our 5 day stay mainly due to the nursing staff being the most thoughtful, kind and professional staff you could ask for.
I had my son here beginning of February 2024. I had to go for induction and the nurses and doctors were nothing but sweet and respectful. They were there and gave me detailed info on anything they were doing. Every time they had to adjust my fetal monitor and contraction monitor they asked before touching me.
My family and I had such a great experience at the Birth Center in Newberg. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I had such a nice experience with the nurses, especially. They were very helpful when it came to breastfeeding. It seemed like they all had training on it and I really enjoyed the help.
My wife had our sweet baby boy at this hospital a few days ago. Our care team was exceptional, professional, and deeply caring! My wife was in labor a total of 48 hours, 17 of which were in the hospital.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Providence Newberg Birth Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Providence Newberg Birth Center is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Providence Newberg Birth Center about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Providence Newberg Birth Center offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Providence Newberg Birth Center. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Providence Newberg Birth Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call +1 503-537-1758 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
