Where to find Redding Midwifery Group
What parents say
When I found out I was pregnant, I initially started off looking for an OB within my insurance network but after calling a reputable doctor's office and told that I needed to submit an application and see if I'm accepted first, I began to really reconsider what it is that I wanted.
We used Redding Midwifery Group for our first child delivered in October. The amount of care, attention and peace of mind they gave throughout the entire pregnancy was so valuable. In other past Healthcare experiences we left just feeling like a number and not that anyone truly cared.
I had an absolutely amazing experience with the Redding Midwifery. Not only were Naomi and Krista really skilled and professional but also very kind. They always cared about how I and the baby were doing physically as well as how I was doing emotionally. I genuinely looked forward to every visit.
My experience with Naomi and all the midwives at Redding Midwifery has been nothing but wonderful. The care they give is so personal and they truly invested not just in my pregnancy, but in my life. The appointments felt less clinical and more comfortable than my experiences with ob-gyn offices.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Redding Midwifery Group a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Redding Midwifery Group is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Redding Midwifery Group about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Redding Midwifery Group offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Redding Midwifery Group accept insurance or Medicaid?
- Their public listing or website mentions insurance or Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so verify your specific plan directly with the facility and your insurer before you commit.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (530) 768-5051 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
