Where to find Richmond Birth and Baby
What parents say
Kristi was absolutely amazing to work with. I highly recommend using her for both lactation consultation and birth classes. I did her one-day birthing class and it helped me feel so much more prepared for labor and delivery. My son had a lot of difficulty breastfeeding.
We came to Kristi five weeks postpartum after trying everything to increase milk supply. I was only making half of what my baby needed. I was getting very frustrated with friends telling me just to eat oatmeal, or drink body armor, nothing was working. Kristi came in so kind, helpful, and supportive.
We reached out to Kristi at Richmond Birth and Baby for extra help and support following the birth of our son. The process to her started and connected with someone could not have been easier. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Samantha for nighttime care, and I can’t say enough good things about her.
Working with Kristi, Felecia, and Beth at Richmond Birth and Baby has truly been one of the best decisions we made as new parents. From the very beginning—through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum days—they’ve been by our side with knowledge, kindness, and so much heart. Kristi is a total gem.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Richmond Birth and Baby a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as pregnancy care center and childbirth class, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Richmond Birth and Baby offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Richmond Birth and Baby. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Richmond Birth and Baby accept insurance or Medicaid?
- Their public listing or website mentions insurance or Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so verify your specific plan directly with the facility and your insurer before you commit.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call +1 804-393-0094 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
