Where to find Sacred Space Birth Services
What this center offers
“even though I was definitely nervous to do a natural birth (after using an epidural with my first baby).”
“I had a homebirth and wanted to make sure our toddler was taken care of so my husband could be 100% there for me during labor/delivery.”
“As an introvert and very introspective person, I wasn’t sure I wanted a doula -another person attending my labor- but after connecting with Jen, I knew she was the perfect fit.”
“Jen attended my water birth at Twin Cities Birth Center as our doula and also provided me and our baby with after care support, and lactation support, too.”
“Both her and Kara were so wonderful, flexible and a lifeline of support for me as I tried to navigate breastfeeding, school drop offs and adjusting to having a 3rd child.”

“We attended her classes, both breastfeeding and empowered birth, and found them very valuable, even as second time parents.”

What parents say
Watching my little brother’s birth at a young age sparked a deep (and rather romantic) interest in labor and birth. I read all the books, watched all the documentaries, and I knew I wanted a homebirth as soon as I became pregnant.
My wife and I had Jen as our doula through our birthing process. Having her on our team was amazing. She helped prepare us for something we had never done before and made us feel very confident. When it came time for birth, she came over when my lab outing wife asked.
We found Jen in our search for a doula, I believe it was a Godwink. From the moment that I stepped into her studio around 28 weeks pregnant, frazzled from a day not going according to plan, I was met with a calmness that’s hard to articulate. Jen was made to mother.
We couldn’t recommend the investment in a doula enough. As a first time parent, if you can afford it, definitely go with the educational package. We promise it will be worth it!! The information we learned from the classes helped us feel really prepared.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Sacred Space Birth Services a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife and doula, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Sacred Space Birth Services offer water birth?
- Water birth or birthing tubs come up in their public listing or reviews. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Sacred Space Birth Services accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (952) 220-3408 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
