Where to find SCV Birth Center
What parents say
Update oct 2023: Still highly recommend Rene and team at scv birth center! Delivered my 2nd baby here this year and had another great experience. They take great care listening to you about your body and how you are doing, and I was able to have another natural / unmedicated birth at the center to a healthy baby.
I will never find the proper words to convey my sincerest thanks to you. My journey to motherhood won't be the same without you and your warmheartedness. I am joyous that my family and I found a place of serenity, comfort and homeliness where giving birth blesses you with an overwhelming feeling of warmth.
We absolutely love the SCV birth center and everyone there!!! I can’t put into words how grateful I am for Renee and Julia. The level of professional care, gentle concern, and genuine love is just unmatched.
I couldn’t recommend the SCV birth center enough. Renee and the rest of the staff exceeded my expectations and were incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and personable. My husband and I felt so supported, encouraged, and comfortable throughout the whole process of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
Frequently asked questions
- Is SCV Birth Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- SCV Birth Center is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask SCV Birth Center about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does SCV Birth Center offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does SCV Birth Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (661) 254-3000 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
