Where to find Selah Midwifery Center
What parents say
What a great atmosphere with knowledgeable and experienced staff. A place where you can dictate your birth experience, rather than doctors. They allowed me to labor naturally without interfering every five seconds, but also knew when to step in for comfort or safety reasons.
Where do I begin? These ladies have become my Tribe. I entrusted them with the single most important day of my life and I will never regret it. From the personalized prenatal care, to the genuin postpartum care, myself and my baby have been in loving, professional hands the entire Journey. I can't thank them enough.
Loved my experience at Selah! The women there are supportive and knowledgeable. I was able to have the birthing experience that I wanted and this wonderful place helped me do that!
Great staff, they made everything as comfortable as possible for my wife during the labor. They knew what they were doing and when to do it. This is the only place we would trust in this area. Also 1/3 of the price of other doctors/hospitals in the area.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Selah Midwifery Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Selah Midwifery Center is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Selah Midwifery Center about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Selah Midwifery Center offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Selah Midwifery Center. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Selah Midwifery Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- Their public listing or website mentions insurance or Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so verify your specific plan directly with the facility and your insurer before you commit.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call (208) 745-7571 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
