What parents say
Rebekah is absolutely an amazing Christian midwife!!! I would recommend her to anyone who wants a natural birth, especially a home birth. She has been a godsend from the moment we first talked on the phone. She is very knowledgeable and experienced. I had a successful home VBAC with my second child because of her!!
I had the privilege of working with Rebekah for the birth of my second child, Charlotte, in November 2020. That whole year of care was peculiar, but the prenatal appointments I had with Rebekah were always the ones I looked forward to the most, and walked away with the most encouragement.
Midwife Rebekah is a wealth of knowledge, pure sunshine, and a steady calm. I met her first and only grew to love her more during our times together. She was patient and yet so professional. Midwife Matison and I met later in my care, and was incredibly helpful during the labor of our 4th!
Rebekah has been at both of my births and she is the best person to have by your side! The most calming but uplifting presence and I felt very taken care of and safe!
Frequently asked questions
- Is Shade Tree Midwifery a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife and service establishment, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Shade Tree Midwifery offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Shade Tree Midwifery accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- Where does Shade Tree Midwifery work?
- They're a service-area practice based in Denton, Texas — rather than a single facility address, they serve families across the area. Ask whether your location falls inside their coverage when you inquire.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call +1 940-300-0582 or use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
