Where to find Summit Maternity Care Center
What parents say
I had so many fears about doing a home birth, and Deborah and her team spent so much time in our visits answering all my questions and providing evidence and research for the things we were doing.
I met Deborah at the beginning of my journey to become a birth doula. I’ve since had the honor and pleasure of working with her for a number of clients we’ve had in common during both planned home birth and Summit birth center deliveries. Deborah is an extremely attentive, knowledgeable, dedicated and talented midwife.
This review is for anyone who is considering using a midwife or birthing center for the first time. When we got pregnant the concept of this was foreign to me and as with anything I unfamiliar, I was nervous. I had so many questions, what if, what if, what if…. But that didn’t last long.
Amazing, amazing, amazing. I can’t say enough incredible things about this birth center. This was my third birth after 2 hospital births. This was the redemptive birth experience that I was searching for. The prenatal care is top notch, the midwives truly cared about me as a person.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Summit Maternity Care Center a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Summit Maternity Care Center is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Summit Maternity Care Center about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Summit Maternity Care Center offer water birth?
- Their own website mentions water birth or birthing tubs. Tub availability can change and eligibility depends on your situation, so confirm directly with the facility and your provider.
- Does Summit Maternity Care Center accept insurance or Medicaid?
- Their public listing or website mentions insurance or Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so verify your specific plan directly with the facility and your insurer before you commit.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Reach out through their website — use the website link above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
