Where to find Taproot Midwifery
What parents say
We truly got the best care possible with Tel at Taproot Midwifery. Tel is warm, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. During pregnancy, Tel presented all of our options in a non-judgmental manner and always held a safe and supportive environment for us to express our physical, mental, and emotional challenges…
This review is long overdue but I was just thinking of my pregnancy and the birth of my baby boy and I wanted to come here and share with you that this is the best place you could ever choose for your care. I don't have enough words to describe the amazing care I received from everyone at Taproot Midwifery.
Tel is considerate, kind, respectful of your wishes, and very wise. Exactly what my family and I needed. The prenatal care we received was so much better than I could have imagined! At appointments she spent an hour or more talking with us.
One of the best decisions of my life was Tel and their team! Every aspect of care; pre-natal, birth, and post-partum was exceptional, and I could not have asked for a better experience. I went into labor at 41+1, and my homebirth was magical.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Taproot Midwifery a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Their public listing categorizes them as midwife, not a hospital maternity unit. Ask them directly where births take place and how they coordinate with hospitals, and confirm the details with your provider.
- Does Taproot Midwifery offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Taproot Midwifery. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Taproot Midwifery accept insurance or Medicaid?
- We couldn't confirm insurance details from public information. Ask the facility which plans they accept, and check with your insurer about coverage for the type of birth care you're planning.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call +1 916-426-8456 or use the website link above, or schedule a tour directly with the button above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
