What parents say
So so SO glad I chose to transfer here when I did! I just gave birth to my first baby under the care of these ladies, and I have nothing but profound gratitude and respect for everyone who took care of us.
I had the best experience here with having my firstborn. I had met with Monica Reno, Alison, Katherine & Rachel for my appointments and they were great. They are very caring, knowledgeable and want to know your birth plan to respect it and make sure it goes as planned.
I had an incredible experience with the midwives. All of them were so kind and personable. I achieved my dream natural birth which was birthing and laboring without pain medication. Alison Kirk and her student midwife did such an awesome job and I felt so safe.
All the midwives are amazing and kind and Bethany the nurse practitioner is so kind and understanding they all listen and take time to explain everything. Lori delivered my baby and she was the sweetest I couldn't have asked for a more perfect labor and she was a big part of why it was so perfect.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Texas Health Nurse Midwife Care a freestanding birth center or a hospital unit?
- Texas Health Nurse Midwife Care is a freestanding birth center — a facility separate from a hospital. Freestanding birth centers typically serve low-risk pregnancies and have a hospital-transfer plan in place; ask Texas Health Nurse Midwife Care about theirs, and confirm with your provider that a birth-center birth fits your situation.
- Does Texas Health Nurse Midwife Care offer water birth?
- Water birth isn't mentioned in the public information we have for Texas Health Nurse Midwife Care. If a birthing tub matters to you, ask the facility directly — options change, and our data may not capture everything they offer.
- Does Texas Health Nurse Midwife Care accept insurance or Medicaid?
- Their public listing or website mentions insurance or Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so verify your specific plan directly with the facility and your insurer before you commit.
- How do I get in touch or see the facility?
- Call +1 817-250-7360 or use the website link above, or schedule a tour directly with the button above. Most birth centers and hospital maternity units offer tours — it's the best way to get your questions answered before you decide.
