What parents say
As a pediatrician and emergency medicine physician, I had the privilege of working side by side with both Tara and Beth (the Starting Place’s midwives) for years in Haiti. I have directly witnessed the incredible quality of care they provide to all of their clients..
After a far less than desirable hospital birth with my first, I knew I wanted a different standard of care with my second delivery. There are no words to convey my gratitude or how positive of an experience it was receiving care and delivering with Tara and KJ at the Starting Place.
The Starting Place and everyone that helped aid in my prenatal, birth, and postnatal care, was exceptional. It was a drastic difference than my previous birth at the hospital in the best way. From the start, they provided a holistic approach and took every worry I had with care, tenderness, and education.
My wife and I have had five children now and this was the best birthing experience we have had yet! This is our second home birth. First with the birthing place. They were caring, responsive, and prepared! Our son had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck and chest….
